Hojun Kim and Dongmin Jo won a bounty in the school’s bug-finding event. Attending as team CheatDroid, the Android reverse engineer pair found more than ten vulnerabilities from SKKU mobile services, and was awarded KRW 300,000 with a smartwatch.
SKKU Bug Bounty Program is an annual event hosted by the SKKU ICT Team. Being one of the first attempts for academic institutions, school has improved its IT infrastructure security since 2015 thanks to the student hackers. In this fourth event held November 12 through 18, 2018, accepted pair attendance and introduced mobile applications as probable targets.
