After attending the INFOCOM 2014.
The conference were organized in 8 different sessions and was held at the same time, which made it hard to select which talk to listen to. Something the guys learned that just by looking at the title of the paper alone was difficult to grasp the content of the talk.
Many of the research was related to network security and authentication in the Physical layer. There were many talks about location related privacy as well as about sensor networks such as smart grids.
Couple papers that were presented at the conference:
1. Achieving Differential Privacy of Data Disclosure in the Smart Grid
2. Optimal Privacy-Preserving Energy Management for Smart Meters
Best Award goes to our Professor entitled:
A Group-based Security Protocol for Machine Type Communications in LTE-Advanced
Overall, the conference went well and was a blast.
