Hojun Kim and Dongmin Jo won a bounty in the school’s bug-hunting event. As team CheatDroid, the Android reverse engineer duo found more than ten vulnerabilities from SKKU mobile services, and were awarded KRW 300,000 with a fitness watch.
SKKU Bug Bounty Program is an annual event hosted by the SKKU ICT Team. Being one of the first attempts for academic institutions, the bug-hunting competition has improved school’s IT infrastructure security since 2015 thanks to the student hackers. In this fourth event held November 12 through 18, 2018, accepted team attendee and added mobile applications as targets.
